Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am pleased to invite you to take part in this year's musical theatre tour to Budleigh Salterton - The Boy Friend.
Set in the 1920s, the show takes place on the French Riviera and follows the story of four girls as they make their way through Finishing School. Featuring numbers such as "Perfect Young ladies", "I could be happy with you" and "It's never too late (to fall in love)" The Boy Friend is a fun and joyous musical comedy with many parts as well as big chorus and ensemble numbers.
The dates of the tour are Saturday 24th July - Sunday 8th August with rehearsals beginning in earnest in the summer term. The initial meeting is at
7.30pm on
Tuesday 16th March in
Physics 1004. If you don't know how to get there or don't have card access, then a member of the committee will be under the archway entrance to Beit Quad from 7.20pm.?
If you can't make the initial meeting but would still like to be involved then there are auditions on the weekend of
20th-21st March followed by a readthrough on
22nd March. There are no auditions for chorus but we strongly encourage you to audition anyway especially if you've never sung with the society before. Slots will be available at the initial meeting but if you can't make it then contact the director - Fiona Steel (
fiona_steel@yahoo.co.uk) to book one. Also, please feel free to E-mail Fiona if you have any questions about the show.
If you have any questions about the society in general then please feel free to E-mail me at
robert.felstead02@imperial.ac.uk.
Hope to see lots of you there.
