The Freshers Revue is the first production of the year for MTSoc. It is a small-scale show designed to give every one a taste of what the MTSoc is about, in terms of rehearsal, performance and socialising. It is not a full show production, but more of an informal concert style performance on a very limited (virtually no) budget.

The Spring Show is the highlight of the year, for MTSoc. It is our one ‘full scale’, major production of a musical which takes place late in the spring term every year. The auditions and casting take place late in the autumn term with rehearsals taking place throughout the spring term. The production usually runs for five nights in the Union Concert Hall.

Every year the sister society of MTSoc goes on Tour to Budleigh Salterton, Devon and runs a full-scale production of a well known show for 10 performances. You can find out more about Tour here.

Current Tour Show – The Boy Friend

Lively characters and spectacular dance numbers combine in a comedy romp through the world of 20’s musicals. With such numbers as “Perfect Young Ladies”, “The Boy Friend”, “It’s never too late to fall in love” and “I could be happy with you” there’s a song and a dance for every situation, but will there be a good old fashioned happy ending for Madame Dubonnet’s School for Young Ladies? And will their suitors ever get that Charleston?
